Electronic Bundles

Digital,
Paginated,
Indexed &
Bookmarked

Electronic Bundles are used to record all of a case at hand, from first communications through to skeleton arguments for Court. They are presented to Judges and opponents before the court process to give a complete view of your position. In days of old, these were literally piles of documents bundled up tidily with colour-coded ribbons. Nowadays they are more often offered in a digital format.

Judges not only expect to receive bundles but also expect them to be easy to read and navigate. It is important to put documents in a logical order and in a readable format. It can also help your opponent to better understand your position and encourage them to settle the dispute before court. Whatever your case, our bundle service is designed to present it clearly and concisely.

How we can help…

The perfect bundle…

“The provision and content of a bundle can make or break a trial. That might sound overly dramatic for something which on its face is a purely administrative task but a well- constructed and tactically considered bundle can make all the difference.

The Basic Art of the Perfect Bundle” – Antonia Ford, Barrister, Pump Court Chambers.

There is much more to Ms Ford’s excellent essay than this quote. Not only is it a very accurate statement, it reflects how the legal profession sees a good bundle as an essential device in Court.

Specialist software

We use specialist software to record your documents digitally and compile an electronic “bundle” as your case progresses. Issued as a PDF, it comes with an index, fully paginated with electronic bookmarks and is shared via a “cloud” platform. Hard copy, paper bundles can be produced if required. We are happy to offer bundle production also as an individual service, both for Litigants in Person and legal professionals.

Case Study: Every Case!

I have been to Court with excellent bundles from many Instructing Solicitors and a few times with poor, disorganised sheafs of different documents, sent last-minute with a weak apology. Sometimes, even without a bundle at all.

Receiving a compliment from a Judge on a well-prepared case always makes an Advocate feel good and gets a Hearing off to a positive start. A comment on poor pagination, difficulty in navigation or criticism of unclear images can ruin your day, if not your outcome!

It is for this reason that we see clear and complete Bundles as an essential part of our service.
